VAL-ED Assessment

The Vanderbilt Assessment of Leadership in Education (Val-Ed) is a research-based, 360-degree school leadership diagnostic tool. Val-Ed focuses on gathering evidence of leadership competencies and behaviors that are specific to the role of a principal.

Interested school leaders will complete two administrations of the Val-Ed leadership diagnostic, which they will then integrate into their leadership development planning processes.

Best for: Any school leader looking for 360-degree feedback on their leadership.

Year 2 Professional Learning Community

Sometimes, the second year of the principalship is more challenging than the first. This Professional Learning Community (PLC) for principals in their second year helps leaders to transform their approach and take their leadership from building relationships, data collection, observing structures, and initial planning to implementation, accountability, and long-term action plans for success.
